Updates

I have to do a better job with this, so I will try to update this blog once a month.

Lots of things are going on. First, Ian is going to school after an attempt to homeschool him. Let's just say that homeschooling is not for me, especially at this point of my life (potty training, lack of sleep, etc). He is going to Lancaster Primary School and it took him 4 weeks to get adjusted. Everything is much better now and he is learning a lot. He takes the bus which takes him straight to school and vice versa.

I just signed up Stella for a new preschool in town with the intentions of letting her see other "big kids" going to the potty. She goes twice a week for a few hours. This is her second week and not much improvement. I don't know what else to do.
Joel is 1 and he is so awesome. However, he is not sleeping through the night. That is killing me.
We moved to our new house in September and we could not be happier. It is great to finally have our own home.
Curtis is working hard and trying to finish some work in the house. I am so tired all the time that allI want to do is to go to bed at 9:30 pm. That sucks because I feel like I don't have much time for myself after the kids go to bed. But as soon as Joel starts to sleep through, I will have more energy to do things.
I have some more pics to upload so check back for more.
Love, Vivian :)
P.S.: Leave me messages

Vivian - I so understand about your kids. My little boy (who's 3 1/2 years old) has no interest in potty training. I just want to cry most days wondering if he'll ever be ready. My little girl (the 1 year old) also doesn't sleep through the night (although occasionally she does, which is a big gift to me). Hang in there. You already know from your oldest that things work out eventually. By the way, I loved the pictures. Your kids are so cute!

I am so happy to hear from you. Yeah, potty training is the worst part for me so far but it will happen like it did for Ian. So, how are things going with and your family? I still keep in touch with your awesome family! Your dad is like a dad to me. Anyway, let's keep in touch. Have a nice day :)

Hi! Let's see some pics of the inside of the house. My kids are so anxious to see "Ian's new house".

Sounds like Stella is ready for the cold turkey method! It's not terribly fun, but it's not like you're having fun now! Might as well get the agony over with. Tell her when the current pack of diapers is gone that you're not buying anymore, so she knows what's coming. Then NEVER go back! But I found it helpful to keep a pack of the cheap Walmart brand pull-ups just for nighttime. That's what I had to do for Sophie. We made her understand that pull-ups were only for bedtime. Good luck!

I'm about ready to train Marina, but she's only 18 months, so I know I have to wait! I hope she is as easy as Kate was.

I have not taken pics of the inside of the house because it is not really ready! But I guess I should take some pics anyway just for fun.
Stella has been going to the potty for a few days with only 1 accident! I am so shocked, and I don't think it was the preschool that did it (although they do reinforce her by taking her to the potty every hour). She is wearing pull ups at night time but she gets very upset because she says she is not a baby but I can't let her wear underweard at night because she will be wet. Anyway, potty training is by far the hardest thing about raising kids.

Yeah, you need before and after pics.

That's great! Maybe she'll be dry at night soon. That's good she doesn't want to be a baby.

Yeah, your kids are so cute! I want to see pics of the house, too. (Outside and inside.)
